Sarah M. Bartsch, MPH, is a Project Director and Senior Analyst with Public Health Informatics, Computational, and Operations Research (PHICOR), the Artificial Intelligence, Modeling, and Informatics for Nutrition Guidance and Systems (AIMINGS) Center, and the Center for Advanced Technology and Communication in Health (CATCH), headquartered at the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. She has been a part of the team since August of 2009 and has over a decade of experience using systems approaches and developing mathematical and computational models to assist a wide range of decision makers in public health. Sarah has authored over 105 scientific publications (including over 35 first author).

Her previous positions include Research Coordinator and Senior Analyst at the University of Pittsburgh, Coordinator at the Global Obesity Prevention Center (GOPC), and Research Associate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her current research primarily focuses on economic and operational modeling of various healthcare associated infections (HAIs), various respiratory viruses (such as Covid-19 and influenza), the effects of patient sharing among hospital networks, norovirus, and neglected tropical diseases, as well as supply chains for vaccines and health commodities and non-communicable diseases. Sarah received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2007 and a Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology from The Ohio State University in 2009.
